Vintage Accordian Coat Hanger 0 comments

Sep 7, 2012 |
I rescued this vintage accordian coat hanger at a garage sale last year for 25 cents. 25 CENTS! It was quite ugly, in my opinion. The dirty olive green stain and funky flowers just weren’t doin’ it for me. So last week I gave it a good scuffing with a sanding sponge, primed it, and painted it with a lovely color called Stonehenge Greige by Pittsburgh Paints. To add a little flair I tied some vintage-style glitter ribbon to a few of the pegs. Sadly, it will never be strong enough to handle coats and jackets without a major overhaul, so for now it will have to be content with displaying some of my favorite aprons.
